I am running for 4th Ward Alderman because we need qualified, committed, compassionate leadership.  Over the next 4 years, Chicago is facing serious challenges with the budget, public schools, and environmental issues.

I am a parent of Chicago Public School students, small business owner, attorney, and proven community leader who has been actively engaged in the 4th Ward for the past 11 years. I have volunteered throughout the ward assisting distressed home owners, fighting for school funding, and planning youth development programs.  I was president of Mandrake Park Advisory Council, president of 41st and Ellis Block Club, King College Prep Local School Council, Community Rep, and started a community garden.  I am also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Dearborn Realtist Board.

As development booms in some parts are the ward, other areas still lack healthy food choices and high performing neighborhood schools.  I know first hand the ward’s challenges and opportunities and want to contribute to the success of all residents.  I want to continue to empower residents to stay connected through formation of block clubs, participatory budgeting, and town hall meetings.  When I become Alderman, YOU become Alderman.
